The Technology

Ideally suited for machining two dimensional, high precision, virtually burr free parts from almost any material, the MICRO Waterjet is revolutionizing the small part manufacturing process from prototype to production.

The MICRO Waterjet stream has a .015” cutting kerf so it is possible to create very delicate and sharp-edged contours with optimal material efficiency and without distortion.

Our MICRO Waterjet features

  • Vibration isolated, fully enclosed cutting envelope
  • Advanced high precision optical linear encoders that maintain positioning accuracies of .0001”
  • Cut tolerances of +/-.001” (0.02mm), with vertical edge cuts and edge finishes in the 16Ra inch range
  • 60,000 psi direct drive pump
  • Programmable chiller system to maintain consistent tank enclosure temperatures for thermal stability

Conventional Waterjet Cutting


Our Flow waterjet machine, equipped with a “dynamic cutting head” to eliminate taper, is capable of taking on tough jobs on materials such as titanium, stainless, AR400, inconel and hardened tool steels as well as ceramics, composites, carbon fibre, plastics, and glass, all while holding tolerances of +/- .005” (.13mm). This machine allows us to maintain our fast turnaround and serves a large variety of industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical, electronics and energy.
